‘Are You Plugged In?’ featuring Lucy Kyllonen
Have you ever used your cell phone all day and looked down only to find out it’s got 10% battery life. It’s happened to me more times than I can count. And what’s the first thing I do? I grab my power cord and find the nearest outlet and plug it in.
As believers and followers of Christ, we often mirror the devices we use every day. Life and circumstance, frustrations and fears, they can drain us, leaving us on the verge of power failure. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Throughout the scriptures we see references to the power of God. And we are reminded that there is power in the name of Jesus. It’s the name above every name. And that word ‘power’ comes from the greek word ‘dunamis’. It’s the explosive power of God.
Ephesians 1:19-21 (NLT) says ‘I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead…’
That power is available to those of us who believe. We all have to access to God. We just have to ask ourselves the more important question… ‘Does the spirit of God have all of me?’
